India's experienced table tennis players Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan will be seen clashing in the men's singles final of the PSPB Inter Institutional Tournament. IOCL player Sharath came back from a game down to beat youngster Ankur Bhattacharya 6-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8 to enter the final.
In the other semi-final, reigning national champion ONGC player Sathiyan returned to form to beat Saurabh Saha 11-8, 11-8, 11-6, and 11-8 to enter the final. In the women's section, Yashaswini Ghorpade, a talented junior from OIL, got the better of ONGC's Divya Deshpande. 11-4, 11-8, 3-11, 3-11, 11-6, 11-9 in the semi-finals. In the other semi-final, T. Reeth Rishya of IOCL defeated Jennifer Varghese 5-11, 10-12, 11-9, 6-11, 11-8, 11-7, and 11-4 to enter the final.
