New Delhi: Senior party leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor, who is in the race for the post of National President of Congress, released a video message on Saturday (October 8) saying that a rumour has surfaced that he (Tharoor) is out of the race of Congress chief. However, it is not like that. Tharoor said 'I do not shy away from challenges. I have never turned back in my whole life and I will never go back.' Let us inform you that Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are face to face in the battle for Congress President. Today is the last date for the withdrawal of nominations. In such a situation, there was speculation that Tharoor might withdraw his name.

Releasing a video message on his Twitter handle on Saturday, Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor said, 'Heard that I am withdrawing from the race for Congress President today. I assure you that I never give up on the challenge. I've never done this in my entire life. It is a struggle, a friendly fight within the party. But it is necessary to take the fight to an end. I am here to stand.' Tharoor further says, 'Please come on the 17th and vote for me. If you want to think about tomorrow, keep Tharoor in mind.'

At the same time, Congress sources say that the fight for the president has tilted towards him with the nomination of Mallikarjun Kharge. First of all, Kharge is the tallest leader of the Congress and everyone respects him. At the same time, the dissatisfied camp G-23 of the party is also standing in favour of Kharge on his candidature. In such a situation, winning this match for Shashi Tharoor, a member of the G-23 group and Kharge's rival, looks like a faraway dream.
