Lucknow: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered two FIRs against Waseem Rizvi, former chairman of the board, following complaints of fraud in the purchase and sale of properties of the Shia Waqf Board. The Anti-Corruption Branch of the Central Investigation Agency has taken this action. Waqf properties were bought and sold in Prayagraj and Kanpur.
Waseem Rizvi was accused of fraud and malpractices in this connection. Now Waseem is constantly attacking opponents. On the CBI inquiry, Waseem Rizvi said that this investigation was done at the behest of Maulana Kalve Jawwad. There is no one other than Kalve Jawwad who accuses us because we have taken action against him. Rizvi said that Maulana Kalbe has succeeded in misleading the government against me, which he regrets.
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput has said that now there was to be an inquiry against Waseem Rizvi. Now CBI has registered cases and now they have to appear before the court. Surendra Rajput said that BJP's sycophancy is also not saving Rizvi. He said that the strictest action should be taken against all the financial offenders.
