MUMBAI: Maharashtra government minister Abdul Sattar has been in the news for asking an absurd question to the collector and district magistrate of Beed district. According to a video viral on social media, Agriculture Minister Sattar can be heard asking Beed Collector Radhabinod A Sharma, 'You drink alcohol?' Abdul Sattar, a minister in the Shinde government, was on a visit to the Beed district of central Maharashtra to take stock of the damage to crops due to excessive rains. During this, he made this comment.

In fact, in the video that surfaced on Thursday, the Agriculture Minister is seen sitting in a hall with district collector Sharma, other officers and some other persons. When tea is served to Sattar and others present in the hall, District Magistrate Sharma refuses to drink tea, when the minister himself sipping tea asks the collector sitting nearby, 'Do you drink alcohol?' Sawant has questioned whether it is an over-rainfall inspection tour or a liquor furnace inspection visit. Along with this, the Congress leader has also tweeted a poem.
