Politics on Assam NRC, Shiv Sena wants NRC to be implemented in Mumbai

Mumbai: After the final list of National Citizen Register (NRC) in Assam came on Saturday, Shiv Sena has demanded to implement NRC in Mumbai also. Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant has said that NRC needs to be implemented in Mumbai too. He said that we have also raised the issue of Bangladeshis living illegally.

Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant said on Saturday that NRC should be implemented in Mumbai after first being successful in Assam. Sawant said that through NRC in Assam, it will now be known how many people are living outside. The decision to release NRC list is a commendable step of the government. It is necessary for the security, unity and integrity of the country.

The final list of NRC has been released in the northeastern state of Assam today. While giving the information, State Co-ordinator Prateek Hajela of NRC said that 3.11 crore (3,11,21,004) people have been included in the list of NRC. While 19 lakh (19,06,657) people have been excluded from this list. According to him, these people had not given their claims. Now these people can appeal to the Foreign Tribunal within 120 days.
