Thane: Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik has demanded that party chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray be invited as chief guest at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. There is a possibility that PM Narendra Modi may participate in the program to be held next month.

Sarinike is an MLA from the Owla-Majiwada assembly seat in Thane. He has also written a letter in this regard to the Chief Trustee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra. A day earlier, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said his party had "paved the way" for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and removed the main roadblocks "not for politics" but for faith and Hindutva. Sarnaik said in his letter that only a few people will be invited to the Ayodhya event because of the coronavirus epidemic. It is being told that those organizations and political parties can be invited for the ceremony. Who have tried directly or indirectly (for temple construction).

Saranike said that Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray was the foremost in the temple construction movement. The MLA said that Uddhav Thackeray has been demanding the construction of Ram temple many times, when no other leader of the time had said anything on this issue. He claimed that it was Shiv Sena who laid the foundation for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
