Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Jadhav from Parbhani district of Maharashtra has resigned from the membership of the Lok Sabha. He has sent his resignation to Shiv Sena national president and CM Uddhav Thackeray. Sanjay Jadhav has said that he is not able to do justice to Shiv Sena workers in his area, hence resigning.

In a letter to Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Jadhav said, "I am not able to do justice to Shiv Sena workers in my area. I have no right to be a party MP". According to the report of ANI, Sanjay Jadhav has said, "I have been trying for this matter (appointment of Administrator of Jintur APMC in Parbhani) for last 8-10 months. Now a person from the NCP has been appointed as a non-government administrator. This is a disrespect to Shiv Sena workers".

The tussle for administrative appointments between the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra has already come to light. Earlier in Mumbai, there were differences between the two parties regarding the transfer of IPS officers. In this connection, NCP chief Sharad Pawar also met CM Uddhav Thackeray on 6 July. At that time it was said that there is a dispute between the NCP and Shiv Sena about the transfer of IPL officers in Mumbai.
