BAREILLY: In a shocking incident, a young woman allegedly killed her husband for the sake of her lover, whom she befriended through Facebook.

Rohit Kumar, 27, a resident of the village of Kandharpur, was found dead in a field in the Cantonment district.

Aarti, her Facebook friend Anuj Patel, and his friend Vivek Kumar have all been arrested by the police and charged with violating IPC sections 201 (causing the destruction of evidence), 302 (murder), and 34 (acts committed by multiple people with the same purpose).

Superintendent of Police (city) Rahul Bhati said that the accused have been sent to jail.

Within 24 hours, police cracked the case and detained Aarti, her Facebook friend Anuj Patel (20), and his friend Vivek Kumar (19). They were charged with violating IPC sections 201 (causing the disappearance of evidence), 302 (murder), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention). They were arrested on Sunday, according to SP (city) Rahul Bhati.
