Ujjain: Lockdown was implemented to prevent corona. But now the situation is becoming normal. In this case, the doors of temples have also been opened. At the same time, preparations have started for the month of Shravan in Mahakal temple. This time Shravan month will start from July 6. A special coincidence is that the start and end of the month of Shravan will be on Monday. This time seven Sawari of Lord Mahakal will be released in Shravan-Bhado month. In view of the Corona infection, the temple administration has only spoken of following the tradition.

At the same time, the appearance of Shravan Mahotsav and riders may be smaller this time. Here, the doors of the temple will open more quickly i.e. for Bhasmarti, Rajadhiraj will wake up two hours earlier in Shravan than usual days. In the Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple, Shravan month is celebrated as a grand festival. In this, the Maratha tradition is given priority, so the sequence of the Shravan festival and the ridership of Lord Mahakal continues with Shravan till the two Mondays before the Amavasya of Bhado month.

For information, let us tell you that the committee organizes Shravan Mahotsav every Sunday. In this, internationally renowned artists of the country perform songs, music and dance. On Monday, Lord Mahakal goes out to see devotees in a silver palanquin. This time Shravan Mahotsav will be celebrated from 6 July to 17 August. This time in the month of Shravan, Lord Mahakal will wake up two hours earlier than usual days for the devotees. In Shravan-Bhadau month every Sunday at 2.30 pm and on the remaining days at 3 pm, the doors of the temple will open. After this, the priest will offer bhasma to Bhasma Ramaiya and perform aarti. Let us tell you that on normal days the doors of the temple are opened at 4 am.
