Actress Shubhangi Atre, who became famous as Angoori Bhabhi in the popular comedy serial Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain, says that she always has to grapple with the prejudices prevailing in the industry against married women. She says that after battling such stereotypes, she kept working hard and finally achieved her dreams.

Shubhangi said "I remember I got married at a very young age. I was very happy that I was going to Mumbai and I thought I could achieve my dreams. But once I came here, I was told that married women are not considered as heroin materials (not fit to be actresses)." Shubhangi said, "But I kept trying my best and today I am blessed in this position. My husband and family fully supported all this."

Shubhangi has always wanted to become an actress. She said, "I am a complete filmgoer since childhood. And I will remain the same till my last breath. I had made up my mind from a very young age that I want to become an actress." Shubhangi Atre is also known for acting in popular shows like 'Kasturi', '2 Hanson Ka Joda' and 'Chidiya Ghar.'
