This year is already looking bright for actor Sidharth Malhotra as he has just enfolded up Nikhil Advani's Marjaavaan. The 'Ek Villain' actor wrapped the shooting in Mumbai and will soon commence shooting for the Vikram Batra biopic. As per report, The film is expected to go on floors in April and Sidharth will begin the first schedule in Chandigarh. Sidharth will step into the shoes of late Captain Vikram Batra as he will start gearing up to play the role of the Kargil hero for his next film, and for the same, Sid, as he is fondly called by his friends, is going to learn a lot of weaponry.

As per to a source mentioned in Mumbai, "Sid will take off shooting the College portions at DAV college in Chandigarh where Vikram studied. From there the shoot will move to Palampur where the captain lived with his family." The source also added that the film will be possibly be titled as Kargil Sher Shah. The war sequences in the film will be shot in Kashmir and Leh and it is speculated that Sidharth will don a different look for this portion in the film.

Meantime, Sidharth will begin training for the film with real army men and it will also involve learning new armaments. However, a female lead has not been cast as yet and the makers on the lookout for an actress to play the role of Vikram's girlfriend Dimple Cheema. Apart from all this, Intresting fact is that, Sid will also essay the character of Vikram's twin brother, therefore, it will be a duplicate role for the actor.
