There are obviously many new developments in the entertainment sector. However, the debate over the distinction between an actor and a star has been going on for years because many people find it difficult to make the distinction, while still others think they are the same. Sidharth Sagar, an actor and comedian, offers his perspective.

Stars, in his opinion, are created by the public, whereas actors are created by God's grace, and you hardly ever see both of them together.

Opportunities abound, but there is also a lot of competition in the market right now. This is most likely the cause of the less pronounced distinction between actors and stars. OTT has also altered the game for many.

I reject competition and believe that all forms of art are divine and limitless. Whatever one does, whether it is music, dance, or acting, they must be playful and joyful. Once you are in tune with the art and the joy, every moment is an opportunity, he continues, and only then does it groom you creatively and naturally.

The debate over whether or not knowing someone in show business can help one complete worthwhile project goes on forever. Despite having personal managers and talent management firms, people still obtain employment more frequently through personal connections and recommendations. Knowing someone is always beneficial.

“I believe you are the only person who can manage your work with integrity and zeal. It's not just about making money or building a following on social media until the manager understands the artist's vision; managers should also be resourceful enough to know what else can be done. It's best to manage your work on your own until there is affection, love, and vision for the artist, which can only happen when those things exist.”

Actors without a backup plan become impatient while waiting for the right showbiz opportunity. Sidharth continues, "It depends on how you view it how one should handle the ups and downs of this profession. As I previously mentioned, I see every opportunity as one, but there have been times when I took a break from work while life was teaching me something wonderful in its own unique way. Consequently, it was a chance to learn. Then there are times when you have the chance to make money, to be more creative, and to perform solely for yourself. Frustration, rage, worry, and impatience will only result in hopelessness.
