Amritsar: Former Punjab CM Captain Amrinder Singh has hit out at the Punjab Congress over a serious security lapse in Punjab of PM Narendra Modi. Captain Amarinder Singh has said that the manner in which state CM Charanjit Singh Channi, deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Punjab Congress unit chief Navjot Singh Sidhu have made statements on the entire incident is completely irresponsible.

The former Punjab CM further said that Charanjit Singh Channi, Randhawa and Navjot Singh Sidhu are working to mislead people in this whole matter. After listening to his statement, it seems as if he does not know what to do and how to perform his duties. The Captain said that running away from your mistakes is cowardice and this is not true leadership. Referring to CM Channi's misleading and contradictory statements on the security breach, Captain Amarinder said that he says something in the morning and later orders a probe into the entire incident and by evening he will again deny any such incident.

Amarinder Singh laughed at Channi's statement that Charanjit Singh Channi had said that if there was a bullet in the state, he would hit on his chest first. He told Channi that, you are not there to fire bullets on your chest, you'd better focus on your work as CM.
