Chandigarh: Balkaur Singh, father of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, was once again threatened through email that he would be killed soon. He alleged on Sunday that he had received threats via email from Rajasthan that he would be killed soon, so don't name Lawrence Bishnoi. Even before this, Balkaur Singh had alleged that he was threatened and said that he would be killed before April 25.
Balkaur Singh has spoken about what I am doing wrong. Should I not fight my son's case? On the 18th, 24th, and 27th of February, I received threats that I would be killed before the 25th of April. I want to tell the government that my security should be withdrawn. I will continue to fight. The police say that a case has been registered against unknown people for threatening Musewala's father.
On March 7, Musewala's father staged a sit-in outside the Punjab Legislative Assembly and demanded a CBI inquiry into his son's murder. Speaking to reporters outside the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Singh said that no investigation is being done in his favour. He has said that for the last 10 months, I have gone to the police and administration several times. I was assured, but what is happening here is being done to cover up the murder of my child. Nothing is going in my favour. He has questioned the government regarding the action taken against gangster Goldie Brar.
Balkaur Singh has said that the CBI should investigate the matter. Who are these gangsters in the case? They are just henchmen. They took the money and shot his son dead. What action is being taken against the mastermind, Goldie Brar, who also targeted my son?" he asked. Sidhu Musewala, 28, was shot dead in Mansa on May 29 last year; a day before the murder, his security was completely downgraded by the state government. The Punjabi singer was shot at very close range and was declared dead upon being taken to Mansa Civil Hospital. The assailants fired more than 30 rounds at Moosewala, who was found lying on the driver's seat by the locals.
