A woman from Bihar's Chapru district was found dead in a hotel in Gangtok, Sikkim. Rekha Singh, 27, has been confirmed as the deceased woman. In the meantime, her husband, Kumar Gyaneshwar, has gone missing.

On December 27, the pair checked into the hotel. On Thursday afternoon, they were meant to check out. However, after the couple failed to appear at the hotel's reception on Thursday to check out, hotel officials went to the couple's room to inquire about their stay.

On not responding to the repeated knocking at the door, the hotel management informed the police.
