The Pakistani Army targeted the forward posts in Mankot and Mendhar sector at around 6 am and started shelling in the residential areas. After this, the Indian Army soldiers also retaliated and damaged three posts of the Pak Army. Two to three soldiers of the Pakistani army were killed and many were injured. A Pakistani soldier killed has been identified as Sepoy Wajid Ali.
