New Delhi: Indian cricket team's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja created history today by taking the wicket of Usman Khawaja on the first day of the Delhi Test match on Friday (February 17). He became the 8th Indian bowler to take 250 Test wickets. Jadeja achieved this feat in the 62nd match. With this, Ravindra Jadeja became the fastest Indian bowler to take 250 Test wickets and the second-fastest player to take 250 Test wickets and score 2500 Test runs in world cricket. 

Let us tell you that the record of taking the most Test wickets for India is in the name of veteran Anil Kumble. Ravichandran Ashwin is in second place. In the Delhi Test, Ravindra Jadeja got his first wicket in his 9th over. Before this ball, Usman Khawaja hit a four while applying a reverse sweep. He played the same shot on the next ball. But, KL Rahul, standing near the point, dived to the right and took a brilliant one-handed catch. Earlier, Australian batsmen scored a lot of runs on Jadeja's ball. He has given runs with an economy of 4.44.

Let us inform you that, after getting injured in August 2022, Ravindra Jadeja had a knee operation. After this, he stayed away from the field for more than 6 months. He returned in February 2023 for the 4 Test series between Australia and India. He made an excellent comeback and took 7 wickets in the first Test played in Nagpur. Apart from this, he also scored a half-century while performing brilliantly with the bat.
