Imphal: After violence broke out in Manipur earlier this month, the situation in the state has worsened. Lakhs of people have been ruined in the violence. To save the lives of themselves and their families, people had to run away from their homes. In this way lakhs of people wandered from here to there. More than 55 people lost their lives in the violence, while hundreds were injured. Lakhs of people were taken to relief camps.
According to media reports, even after several days of violence, the situation in the state is not good. The situation is that there is a shortage of medicines. This shortage may increase further in the coming times. Manipur Chemists and Druggists Association has given information about this. MCDA said that Manipur is facing shortage of life saving drugs and other medicines. The situation may worsen in the coming days.
He said that due to the violence that broke out after the recent caste clashes in the state, the people of the Kuki community obstructed the supply of essential commodities on the Imphal-Dimapur road. Due to this, essential commodities could not be supplied in some areas here. Speaking to the media in Imphal, MCDA chief RK Rakesh said that due to panic buying and trucks getting stuck, there has been a sharp decrease in the stock of medicines here.
