Kolkata: The Security Security Force (BSF) has got a big success today i.e. on Sunday (January 22). In fact, on the Indo-Bangladesh border, the border outpost Ghojadanga under the South Bengal border of North 24 Parganas district, the soldiers of the 153rd Corps have arrested a smuggler with 8 lakh Bangladeshi taka.

The arrested smuggler has been identified as Anisur Mollah (31), a resident of District North 24 Parganas. The seized smugglers and seized foreign currency have been handed over to police station Basirhat for further legal action. During interrogation, the smuggler revealed that he worked in MS stores (money exchange) and that is why he was illegally bringing Bangladeshi taka, a BSF statement said.

BSF official has said that the owner of this store is Tapan Roy, Ghojadanga. This currency was given to him by Tanmay Roy, son of Tapan Roy. After this, this currency was to be handed over to Tapan Roy, but BSF personnel caught him midway. A thorough investigation revealed that this currency was illegally brought to India from Bangladesh. BSF has said that they are keeping a strict vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border. During this surveillance, if anyone tries to enter or smuggle into India illegally, strict action is taken against them.
