I always believe in saying that says “Naam jap sewa kar te dil saaf rakh”, it’s just something that has always been somewhat part of my life” Known for their dedication to the service of humanity, AAP Sangathan Mantri (Vasant Vihar Ward 64S) and Social worker Abhishek Jain and his wife Mrs. Himani Jain have added another feather to their cap for winning Delhi Ratna Award for their social service and philanthropic work conferred to them by Bharat Manch.
Delhi Ratna Award Ceremony is a national-level yearly affair to recognize the efforts of the individuals for their outstanding service in different fields and professions. The ceremony includes 35 honors which are presented by Bharat Manch. To grace the occasion with their presence, Former Chief Justice of India and former NHRC Chairman Honorable Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Sanjay Singh, Akhil Bhartiya Pichhda Warg Sang’s Vice president Dr. M.A Khan, and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Ramdas Athawale were present as the Chief guests of the event and presented the award.
Mr. Abhishek thanked the Chief Guests and Bharat Manch for their felicitation. Speaking at the occasion, Abhishek said, “To be honest, it is quite surreal, I am so grateful and blessed to be honored by the Delhi Ratna Award. I always strive to help the needy and underprivileged sections of society by whatever means necessary and to be acknowledged for what I have done always gives me motivation and strength to do more for society. “
“I always believe in saying that says “Naam jap sewa kar te dil saaf rakh”, it’s just something that has always been somewhat part of my life, recognizing that there are populations that are underserved and how can I use my privilege to support those who don’t have a voice,” he added.Both Mr. Abhishek Jain and Mrs. Himani Jain are continuously working towards empowering women and their services to the poor, laborers, migrants, unprivileged people and are leaving no stone unturned to help the people in every possible way.
During the unfortunate pandemic and closure of educational institutes, Abhishek’s team has installed free WiFi in different parts of Vasant Vihar and also distributed free stationery items to the students in need. This free WiFi scheme will help students to continue their online studies without any disturbance. Social worker Abhishek Jain had also set up camps for children where the teachers were employed by him. This provides livelihood to so many people and benefits children also. Since the advent of the pandemic, so many people lost their jobs but Abhishek made sure that the people he employed continued to work.
Abhsihek Jain also known as Aap ka Abhishek, provided free WiFi facilities to the farmers protesting at the Singhu border. This way, they got to stay in touch with their families and tell the world about their side of the story and help them stay connected with their families back home. Abhishek’s team has taken various initiatives to ensure proper menstrual sanitation and hygiene for girls and women living in far-flung areas. Earlier this month, Abhishek Jain and his team had installed a total of eight free sanitary napkin vending machines in parts of Vasant Vihar so that the woman living in these areas could access the sanitary napkins free of cost whenever they required. Apart from this, he has also provided employment opportunities to women who were deprived of their basic right to earn.
Abhishek Jain’s foundation has started an ambulance service to save critical seconds during a medical emergency. These ambulances are available readily round the clock and ensure fewer delays. Mr. Jain has been actively involved in sanitization drives. Abhishek has started access to clean water, improved sanitation facilities, hand washing, water safety plan, etc to ensure that people maintain the basic sanitation rules. Abhishek Jain aims to dedicate his life towards making life better for people by using his resources and doing anything in his power to do so.
