Recently, the government made a big announcement for the soldiers of Kashmir, it has decided to give double 'House Rent Allowance' (HRA) to the soldiers of the central security forces posted in the Shamir Valley, whose families are still living in the former location. Such soldiers will get an additional HRA of 16 percent of their basic salary.
According to the information received, not only this, wherever these soldiers are stationed in the Kashmir Valley, the HRA is given according to the place where they will continue to get it. Meaning these soldiers will be entitled to double HRA. This additional HRA can be taken till 31 December. After this the plan will automatically renew for further. The Home Ministry has not issued new orders for this.
The Home Ministry had increased the risk and hardship allowance in February: According to sources, the Home Ministry had increased the risk and hardship allowance a week after the terrorist attack on CRPF in Pulwama during the month of February this year. The allowance of lower-level officers was increased to Rs 7,600 every month with special benefits and the allowance of higher officers was increased to Rs 8,100. The allowance up to the rank of Inspector was increased from Rs 9,700 to Rs 17,300, while the officers' allowance was raised from Rs 16,900 to Rs 25,000.
Home Ministry had to increase HRA: Since there is no special battalion separately for any area. From any battalion, soldiers can be sent for duty at another place. This can be understood with the help of an example. Several battalions of paramilitary forces are deployed in Delhi. There are also family quarters in many places.
It is being said that children study in school, so the quarters are not even vacated before the completion of the session. Earlier it used to be that the jawans would get quarters for some time, but the HRA there was closed. Reason, the new posting that the jawan has received will be given HRA according to there.
Talking about the sources, the government has kept this in mind, if we look at Kashmir, the HRA becomes very less. Due to this, the soldiers were facing financial difficulties. The Home Ministry has now made a provision to eliminate this problem of the soldiers that the soldiers posted in the Kashmir Valley will get an additional HRA of 16 percent of their basic salary. Also, the HRA that they would normally get there will continue as before. That is, they will be given the benefit of double HRA.
