Urfi Javed, who appeared in Bigg Boss OTT the previous year and followed singer Sona Mohapatra, responded to 'Me Too' accuser Sajid Khan's participation in Bigg Boss 16. The actress blasted the network and the show's creators for "supporting sexual predators" by casting such men in the show.

Urfi wrote, "What makes you think that way, Bigg Boss? You are actually telling sexual predators that what they have done is acceptable when you support them. These men must understand that their actions are inappropriate and that they will not be tolerated. Never again collaborate with sexual predators! It is simply disgraceful; it isn't debatable. In spite of what he did, Sajid Khan never expressed regret. Take a moment to consider how the girls he harassed must be feeling. You needn't be concerned, then, because you will still be invited to appear on the biggest show in India even if you harass several women! AAP has our full support when it comes to controversy! Stop empowering sexual predators, #Colors! #biggboss #Colors #disgraceful."

The actress also admitted that she wasn't given the opportunity to participate in BB this year, but she added that Sajid's presence prevented her from accepting the offer in the first place. Additionally, she felt sorry for the girls that Sajid was harassing.

She continued, "Though I didn't receive a Bigg Boss offer this year, even if I had, I wouldn't accept it! Please let's all stop giving sexual predators our support. The girls he harassed must be going through so much just watching him on television every day; I hardly know what to say."

Sajid Khan's participation has drawn criticism from even singer Sona Mohapatra. She most recently wrote on Instagram, "Navratri, Durga Puja, and Womanhood are all being observed in India. The Indian TV channels that support serial sex offenders Sajid Khan, Anu Malik, Vikas Behl, Suhel Seth, and Kailash Kher have shown utter disregard for the voices of women in the #MeTo movement."

Several online users have expressed their disapproval of Sajid joining the show in addition to Urfi and Sona.
