New Delhi: UPA Chairman and MP from Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat Sonia Gandhi today raised the issue of her constituency in the Lok Sabha. SHe has questioned the privatisation of a railway factory in Rae Bareli. Sonia Gandhi also remembered Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. She accused the government of benefiting some industrialists.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has said in the House, "The government should fully protect the public properties of Rae Bareli." The Railway Coach Factory at Rae Bareli is one of the most modern factories in the country and the previous Governments have done a lot of work to take it forward. This railway factory is also important for the employment of the local people. I am sorry to say that the Government is trying to privatise this factory. Even the trade unions were not taken into confidence. The future of more than 2000 workers and workers is now in peril. '

Sonia Gandhi, MP from Rae Bareli, targeted the central government and remembered the country's first PM Nehru. He said, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first PM of independent India, considered the public industry as the capital of development of the country. "It is very sad to say that this government is working to benefit only a few capitalists by forgetting the labour and the poor people," Sonia said. It is not hidden from anybody how industrialists are being benefited by taking away the rights of the labourers. '
