Today is the birthday of Sonu Nigam, who has ruled Bollywood with his wonderful voice. Sonu has won the hearts with his voice and even today he is the heartbeat of millions. Sonu Nigam remains a part of the discussions due to his excellent songs. Sonu Nigam is celebrating his 47th birthday. Sonu has been a singer as well as an actor. He might have proved to be a flop in the case of acting, but in the case of singing, he has achieved a great place. Apart from singing, Sonu has a deep connection with controversies.

Once the controversy had increased so much that he had to shave his head. Well first let us also tell you that Sonu Nigam along with his father Agam Nigam started singing in stage shows and weddings since the age of 4. He often sang songs of Mohammad Rafi in stage programs, because of that he was liked by many. Sonu Nigam started his career as a singer with the debut film 'Janam' but this film could not be released. Sonu got recognition in Bollywood from the 1997 film 'Border', his song in this film was 'Sandesay Aate Hain' which became super hit. Along with Hindi, Sonu has sung songs in English, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Nepali, Malayali, and Marathi. Now coming to the controversy, Sonu Nigam had once tweeted about Azaan. During that time, he was accused of inciting religious sentiments after the tweet.

Not only this but a fatwa was also issued against him at that time. Sonu Nigam had said, "I am not a Muslim, so why should I wake up after hearing Azaan's voice. How long will religious customs have to be forced into India?" Later, seeing the matter escalating, Sonu retweeted and clarified. Sonu had put his point in a press conference after the case extended and got his head shaved too.
