New Delhi: England defeated South Africa by 41 runs in the first match of the three-match T20I series. Batting first, England scored a huge score of 234 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. For England in the first T20 match against South Africa, captain Jos Buttler scored 22 off 7 balls, Malan scored 43 off 23 balls, Jonny Bairstow scored a whirlwind 90 off 53 balls and then Moeen Ali hit a brilliant 52 off 18 balls. With this, Ali has become the first player to score the fastest fifty for England in T20 International cricket. He scored fifty off just 16 balls.

Chasing a mountain-like huge target of 235 runs, South Africa got off to a poor start. But Tristan Stubbs' innings at one point of time turned South Africa towards victory. He has broken the big record of African star Quinton Dekock and legendary AB de Villiers in the first international innings of his career. In fact, Stubbs has become the fastest and youngest player from South Africa to score fifty in 19 balls in the T20 International.

Stubbs scored his first fifty at the age of 21 years and 347 days. Quinton DeKock scored his first half-century at the age of 23 years and 92 days and de Villiers at the age of 23 years and 279 days. Tristan Stubbs completed his fifty in 19 balls. He scored a blistering 72 off 28 balls. In this innings, he hit 8 sixes and 2 fours. However, this inning of Stubbs could not make Africa victorious. Africa could only score 193 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
