Seoul: Due to the continuous spread of Covid-19, South Korea's special travel warning has been extended for another month, the foreign ministry announced on Saturday.
According to reports, "citizens are advised to cancel or postpone non-essential trips abroad until December 13," because the emergence of variant cases in several nations poses a health danger. As many nations deal with outbreaks of multiple Covid-19 strains and continue to restrict the entry of people arriving from abroad, the travel alert was initially issued in March and has been extended every month since.
Depending on the scale of recent outbreaks, vaccination rates, and quarantine measures in foreign countries, the ministry said it will discuss with health officials and foreign embassies to relax some of the travel restrictions in stages.
