Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) is seen lagging badly in the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh. Here the BJP has maintained a tremendous lead in all the 17 seats for the post of Mayor. Where the SP is in a bad condition in UP, the Congress is coming to power with a thumping majority in the Karnataka assembly elections. Even after this, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has got a reason to be happy. Actually, Akhilesh has made a tweet regarding the defeat of BJP in the Karnataka assembly elections.

Attacking the BJP in this tweet, Akhilesh wrote, 'The message from Karnataka is that the 'end' of BJP's negative, communal, corrupt, rich-oriented, anti-women-youth, social-divisive, false propaganda, individualistic politics has begun. This is a strict mandate of new positive India against inflation, unemployment, corruption and disharmony. Let us tell you that the counting of votes is going on for 17 municipal elections in UP. In this, the SP is yet to see an edge on even a single seat. Whereas, BJP is ahead in all 17 seats. Meanwhile, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted. Through this tweet, he targeted the BJP.

Let us tell you that, according to the trends so far, SP has got 0 seats in Municipal Corporation, 35 seats in Municipality and only 72 seats in Nagar Panchayat in UP's municipal elections. This election is very important for Akhilesh, because this is the first election after the death of his father and SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, in which the biggest challenge for him is to prove himself.
