Hyderabad: The ongoing corona vaccination campaign in India is gaining momentum. In the same vein, the largest consignment of Russian vaccine Sputnik-V arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday. About 56.6 metric tonnes of shipments reached Hyderabad, containing about 3 million vaccine supplements that will soon be available for use in the country.
This is Sputnik-V's third and largest shipment ever from Russia. The process of dispatching this shipment to the airport here was completed in 90 minutes. The shipment of this vaccine is to be kept at -20 degrees temperature, so it was taken away with great care. Tell us that Sputnik-V is being manufactured in India in association with Dr. Reddy Labs of Hyderabad. Although its production has started in India, the vaccine manufactured in India is likely to hit the market by July-August.
In such a situation, continuous sputnik-v is being sent to India from Russia for initial use. The use of Sputnik-V has started in India. The vaccine will also start available in some private hospitals in the second week of June. In Cowin portal Sputnik-V option is also there for vaccine registration.
