Chennai: A shocking case has come to light from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Here, one person died of a heart attack. But when his DNA test was reported, everyone lost consciousness. In fact, he was the underworld don of Sri Lanka and had been living in India for a long time hiding his identity. According to Coimbatore police, Sri Lanka's underworld don Angoda Lokka was living in the name of Pradeep Singh by hiding his identity in India. He died of a heart attack on July 3, 2020. His body was also cremated in Madurai after postmortem. But the police suspected Pradeep's identity.

In this case, a sample was taken from Lokka's mother DNA with the help of the Sri Lankan government. It was sent to a forensic lab in Chennai. After the report came out, it was revealed that the deceased was not Pradeep, but underworld don Angoda Lokka. CID then moved the city court and appealed that all cases registered against Angoda be scrapped as his DNA has been matched from his mother.

According to police, Angoda had been hiding in Coimbatore for two years. Police have arrested three persons for helping Angoda to make fake papers by changing his identity. The three are said to have cremated Lokka in Madurai and the three are from Sri Lanka who was living in India with Lokka.
