Kidambi Srikanth, one of the players who played a key role in the Indian badminton team's historic Thomas Cup victory, has made it one of the best achievements of his career. The Indian team won the Thomas Cup for the first time with a 3-0 win over 14-time champions Indonesia in which Srikanth played a key role as he did not face a single defeat in the tournament.
Srikkanth has said that individual events are always different from team events and we hardly get to play team events and the Thomas Cup Finals is a big team tournament. So winning such a big tournament is a really big moment. It's really happened, it'll take even longer to feel it. I will call it one of my biggest victories and I'm happy that each player played very well. I don't think it's an individual win, it's a win for all 10 players, whenever needed, each has contributed.
Srikanth, who won a silver medal at the World Championships in Spain last year, said he cannot compare to his victory but it was one of the biggest victories of his career. I did well in the World Championships in December as well and it was another tournament in which I did the best I have ever done. I can't compare my victories, I don't want to rank these victories of mine, they're all important.
