Jammu: A letter has been issued by the family of the separatist leader of Kashmir, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, urging people to keep a distance from the family. It states that Geelani's health is poor. And the family wants to take care of them.

The letter issued by the family states that Geelani is suffering from many diseases, and he needs proper care. The family members are under stress due to his current health condition. This request has been made by Geelani's son Dr Nasim Geelani, Dr Naeem Geelani and Jamai Zahoor ul Haq. They have given information about his health.

On the other hand, at the Health Ministry press conference on coronavirus on Tuesday, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that today the number of people cured is 3.4 times more than the active cases. The number of recovered patients is more than 24 lakhs. 22.2 percent of the total cases are active.

The recovery rate has been more than 75 percent. So far 30 million tests have been done. Rajesh Bhushan said that in the last 24 hours there has been a drop of 6423 in the active cases. Out of the total active cases, only 2.70 percent of the cases are on oxygen support. Only 1.92 percent of active cases are in ICU and 0.29 percent are on ventilator support. The death rate from COVID-19 in India is 1.58 percent, which is the lowest in the world.
