HYDERABAD: G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, NITI Ayog said that Startup20 is India's innovation to the G20 movement.

Speaking at the Startup20 launching in Hyderabad for the first time,  Amitabh Kant said, "The Startup20 is India's innovation to the G20 movement. That is because of our PM Narendra Modi's belief that the world needs digitisation. It needs young energy and dynamism. It needs technological leap-frogging. We had a great turnout of entrepreneurs, investors, private equity funds, and venture capitalists. They will talk on how to boost the startup ecosystem, how to increase the flow of financial resources, and how businesses may drive long-term development goals. That is, it is a journey toward education, health, and nutrition in which much innovation is required." he said.

The G20 Sherpa said, they will also examine the "digital public structure where public tracts were built and the private sector innovated further," as well as how India was able to employ digital identification, data empowerment, or bank accounts to drive a large number of payments. He mentioned how India fared with the COWIN app, Fastag, and Digi lockers in this context. "These are global learning experiences," he noted.
