National Startup Awards 2022 to be released on Jan 16

NEW DELHI: On January 16, 2023, Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & Textiles, would facilitate the National Startup Awards 2022 and present a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh in the presence of Som Parkash, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry.

This year, a special prize category has been set up for the nation's mountainous and North-East regions. Also,  one outstanding Incubator and one extraordinary Accelerator title winner will each earn a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh.

Goyal will also unveil the MAARG platform (Mentorship, Advisory, Assistance, Resilience, and Growth) at the event, which will make it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to mentor one another across sectors, stages, and functions. The portal's matchmaking phase, which will be introduced on this occasion, is anticipated to enable companies to communicate with mentors and discuss their mentoring requirements.

The National Startup Awards, now in their third year, will honour startups and enablers who have excelled both monetarily and in terms of quantifiable social impact.

The winning and finalist firms will act as role models for other business owners in addition to getting help for the expansion of their ventures, mentorship, investment, partnerships, and possibilities for market access. A cash award of Rs. 5 lakh will also be given to each winning startup.
