Warangal: TPCC working president and MLA T Jagga Reddy demanded that the state government provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to all Dalits under the Dalit Bandhu scheme. “Ever since KCR took power, he had made some promises to Dalits – making a Dalit the Chief Minister and providing 3 acres of land to each family. But he never made any effort to fulfill those promises. He held the post of Deputy Chief Minister. humiliated by removing Dalit leader Thatikonda Rajaiah from Jagga Reddy said.

Demanding the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the entire state, the Congress on Saturday took out a protest rally under its Dalit-Girijana Atma Gaurav Dandora in Hasanparthi. But accused of betraying the poor people. He said, "Around 22 lakh poor applied for double bedrooms after KCR's promise, but not even one per cent were given houses." The TRS government also reversed the SC, ST sub-scheme launched by the Congress, saying the KCR government in its last seven years of rule did nothing for the SC and ST communities.

Warangal DCC president Naini Rajendra Reddy challenged the TRS government to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme for all Dalits in the state within six months, if it has commitment to the distressed sections. He said that restricting the Dalit Bandhu scheme to Huzurabad constituency would not help the Dalits. He criticized KCR for failing to meet the aspirations of the people of Telangana, especially the jobs. Vardhanapet Constituency Coordinator Namindala Srinivas, senior leaders Dommati Sambaiah, B Srinivasa Rao, Thota Venkateswaralu, Dr Puli Anil Kumar, Bandi Sudhakar Goud and Kunduru Venkata Reddy among others were present.
