Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the East Delhi Hub. The East Delhi Hub will be constructed over an area of 30 hectares. The DDA will get it constructed under the Smart City Scheme in Delhi. A multi-storey residential building will be built here. Apart from this, commercial complexes will be made. There will be a place for sports activities. Schools will also be built. All kinds of facilities will be available in a campus. This is the second time in the last ten days when the Home Minister is laying the foundation stone of a big scheme.

In his statement, Amit Shah said that when I was made a minister, I sat with the Lieutenant Governor and found out about the schemes which are buried in the files. If one crore houses are made, every citizen in the country will have their own house. By 2022, the central government will fulfill this goal under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The central government is working on this plan very fast.

In his address in this program, he further said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was not implemented in Delhi, Delhi government's department dusib was not prepared for this scheme. Where the central government is working on the slum house scheme, the forms will start filling in one to two days.
