Guwahati: A 37-year-old man in Assam's Dhubri district has made an idol of mother Durga with expired medicines of various colors. He has created this statue using expired tablets, capsules and injection vials. Sanjib Basak, an employee of Dhubri district administration, has been engaged in various new and environmentally friendly works for designing the statue in the last few years.

Giving information, Sanjib said that during the lockdown of the Corona epidemic this year, during the lockdown, he saw people standing in line outside medical stores to buy medicines in bulk. At the same time, he came to the idea that with the help of medicines, he can make the idol of Maa Durga. He tried this to mark the epidemic. A large number of people are coming to see it.

He collected 40,000 strips, capsules and injection vials of various colors for about five months to shape his thoughts through expired medicines, through which he was successful in creating the figure of Maa Durga. He has also used paper, thermocol, boards and some other things to correct the medicine strips into a frame and make a statue.
