New Delhi: A case of stone pelting on a double decker train near Sarai Rohilla railway station in Delhi has come to light. The case is close to 5.30 pm on Tuesday. Seven coaches of the train are said to have been pelted with stones. The buzz was that the passengers narrowly escaped the case. No damage has been reported. The train was on its way from Sarai Rohilla to Jaipur.

There have been cases of stone pelting on the same trains. On October 7, a case of stone pelting on a Shatabdi Express train to Amritsar at Khanna railway station in Punjab came to light. Three passengers were injured in the incident. The case was around 8 pm when the Shatabdi Express coming from Delhi was about to arrive at Khanna railway station, 45 kilometres away.

The same case of placing stones on tracks near a railway station in Mumbai Dombivali came to light recently. A youth was then arrested in the case. The boys had placed a stone on the local track heading towards Kalyan. If the motorman did not pay heed, there could have been a major accident. The same incident has created fear among the people.
