Cyclone Nisarga has hit the shores of Mumbai. The landfall process has started and it will be completed in the next 3 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department, high waves are rising in Mumbai. Mumbai city has been kept on alert. Several teams of NDRF are engaged. The DCP of Mumbai Police told that the cyclone will affect the coastal areas of Mumbai. Although its main impact will be seen in Raigad, Mumbai will also be affected by it. Mumbai Police has made full preparations, all the staff in the police station are deployed to assist the people. Before 1948 and 1980, a cyclone hit twice, but it did not hit the coast.

After the collision of the storm, the strong winds are moving at a speed of more than 100 km. It is raining in many areas around Mumbai. Cyclone Nisarga has also hit Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. After the storm hit, the strong winds in the area and high tide on the coasts have affected the Ratnagiri region. According to NDRF Director General SN Pradhan, around 43 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are stationed in Gujarat and Maharashtra, out of which 21 are in Maharashtra.

It started raining in Mumbai and metropolitan areas of Maharashtra from Tuesday evening before the landfall. According to the news agency PTI, it intensified at night. The Maharashtra government had already warned the people. Guidelines were issued by the government that during this time, what precautions people should take and what not to do. Like, before the arrival of the cyclone, if there are such things outside the house, which can cause damage in strong winds, then either tie them well or keep them indoors. Do not pay attention to the rumours related to the cyclone.
