Our brave soldiers come first among those who have direct memories of the Kargil war fought against Pakistan. Bharat Singh is one such soldier who had been a part of this Vijaygatha. He has shared his memories and story related to Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Brave Bharat Singh, who played the constable during the Kargil war, talked about the incident of a bullet shot in his stomach, saying that we had to fight in the search duty during the night and it is up to the intelligence officer to give how many hours to search. Our plan for searching was about 4 hours. At that time cross firing was going on. The enemy sitting on the high hill were being attacked with nefarious movements. However, we too gave a befitting reply. But only then a bullet comes in my navel and during that time the medical team manages me. It is common in the army to be injured. There was double the enthusiasm in mind and finally, we were successful in winning the war.

Bharat Singh said that during his service in the army, he spent most of the time in the mountains of Jammu, Dras, and Kupwara. Like his father, now his son also wants to go to the army and serve the country. Bharat Singh says that the son was born in 2001. His name is Rohit and he has now made up his mind to join the army after hearing stories of Kargil and our courage. Bharat Singh told that Rohit has done the 12th class with Pari Art. Every day his son runs for two hours for medical fitness. In Kargil, he got the courage to stand wide in front of enemies with his father Hiralal Gurjar and mother Sohan Bai Gurjar.
