Ingredients for Potato Tikki Chaat -
White peas - 1.5 cup
Potato - 4
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tbsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Green Chili - 4
Onion - 2
Tomato - 2
Tamarind Juice - 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 Tablespoon
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tablespoon
Oil - 3 tbsp
Salt - as per taste
How to make Aloo Tikki Chaat - For this, first soak the peas overnight, put peas and 1.5 cups of water in a cooker the next morning and keep them to boil and take at least 8 to 19 whistles. Now after boiling, take out the peas in a bowl and then put the potatoes in the cooker to boil, for the potatoes we have to take 5 whistles, peel them after boiling the potatoes. After this, add red chili, salt and garam masala to the peeled potato and mash the potatoes well and mix the spices, then with the help of hands prepare potato tikki. After that take a griddle and after greasing it with oil, pour some oil on it, now place the tikki on the sides of the pan.
Method of making chaat- For this, cut green chillies, onions and tomatoes in the middle of the pan and fry it for 1/2 minute on medium heat, now add ginger garlic paste, then all the tikkis at once. Turn it over. After this, put peas in the roasted tomato onions, add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric, salt and garam masala and put some oil on the sides of the peas. Now after that mix the peas well, then add tamarind water and roasted cumin powder.
