A madrassa student was found dead inside the institution's washroom in Geruagaon, Nagaons' Rupohihat. Irfan Pathan, a native of the same village, was recognised as the dead. His family claims that he was murdered in the madrassa's washroom by the madrassa's authorities.
They accused Mizanur Rahman, a teacher, and Riyaz Uddin, a student, of killing their son. Both of them fled after being accused of being involved in the alleged crime.
The incident was thought to be a case of personal enmity, and officers found evidence of a brawl between Pathan and the accused. In connection with the matter, an investigation has been initiated.
