Chennai: Within twenty days, the second minister of Tamil Nadu government has given a controversial statement against North Indians. State Health Minister Ma Subramaniam's statement came out on Wednesday. He has said that North Indian students are spreading corona infection in the state. Minister Subramaniam said that students of Kelambakkam VIT College and Sathyasai College have been found corona infected in hostels and classes. In some North Indian states, the cases of corona are still increasing.
 
Let us tell you that recently the Education Minister of Tamil Nadu also gave an objectionable statement. State Higher Education Minister Ponmudi had said on May 13 that Hindi speakers sell panipuri. Ponmudi had said that those who speak Hindi are selling panipuri in Coimbatore. Ponmudi made this statement while addressing a convocation ceremony at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He said that English is more valuable than Hindi.

Ponmudi had said that Tamil students are willing to learn any language and Hindi should not be compulsory but optional. Addressing the students of Coimbatore University, Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Ponmudi promised to implement the beneficial aspects of the National Education Policy 2020.
