New Delhi: The national capital Delhi is witnessing a huge rise in coronavirus cases. With the increase in the positivity rate, the number of corona patients is also increasing. For the past few days, more than 2,000 corona patients have been registering daily. The positivity rate has reached around 13 per cent, which remains a matter of concern. However, the recovery rate also remains better.

Let me tell you that, on Friday, two people died of the corona. According to the latest data from Delhi, the total number of corona cases has reached 19 lakh 64 thousand 793. The total death toll has risen to 26,327. Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director, LNJP, has informed that 14-15 corona patients are being admitted daily in LNJP. There are currently a total of 51 covid patients admitted. in which one patient remains serious. However, in the last 24 hours, not a single death has been reported from corona in the hospital. The recovery rate is good but the infection rate is more than 10 per cent, which is a matter of concern.

Let us tell you that as far as implementing the Graded Response Action Plan is concerned, there is a basis for hospitalization along with positivity. Filling 500 beds a day, there is a scale in it. The positivity rate is more than 10 per cent, but hospitalization is very less. Only 4.5 per cent of the beds are full, and 96 per cent of the beds are empty. New cases of corona are coming out, in which there are also mutant cases of the virus. There have been cases of BA-4 and BA-5, which we are studying. More than 100 samples are in the process for genome sequencing. If its report comes next week, it will be known whether it is a new variant or not.
