New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has termed the remarks of Edma Dieng, the Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide of the United Nations (UNO) as defamatory.

Swamy has expressed his intention to sue Dieng, saying that he will soon send a legal notice to Daeng. In a tweet on May 19, Swamy said that the United Nations (UN) official has defamed me in a press release in New York, saying that I had said in an interview to a Pakistani-owned TV channel that the Indian Constitution was against Muslims. Does not give equal rights to. This is a big lie.

Swami also tweeted about this on Thursday. In this tweet, Swamy has expressed his intention to run a defamation case against Daeng. Swamy has said that he will soon be given a legal notice to Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla. Dieng is an international lawyer from Senegal and a former registrar of criminal tribunals on behalf of Rwanda.
