Hyderabad: A chlorine gas cylinder leaked at a government hospital in Telangana's Jangaon district, causing panic. There was an uproar in the hospital after the gas leak. After the outbreak of chlorine gas, more than 20 people started finding it difficult to breathe. Many also complained of vomiting. It is being said that this incident of chlorine gas leak took place late on Thursday night, after which people complained of breathlessness and headache. As soon as the news of the incident was received, a team of doctors reached the spot, and oxygen was supplied to those who had difficulty in breathing.

The victim of this accident said, 'Suddenly people started finding it difficult to breathe and also complained of cough. We couldn't understand what was happening. We immediately requested the doctor to check on the hospital. However, it took more than an hour for the doctors to reach us. The doctors supplied us with oxygen. Examined our body parts.'

A similar case was reported in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal in October 2022. There was an uproar due to a chlorine gas leak in a settlement of Bhopal. After difficulty in breathing and irritation in their eyes, people panicked and came out of their houses and gathered on the road. As soon as the administration got the information of this sudden 'gas leak', the Collector and Municipal Commissioner reached the spot. Three people were admitted to Hamidia Hospital due to severe breathing problems after the gas leak. The incident of chlorine gas leakage took place in Bhopal's Mother India Colony Basti.
