The actor is all set to be seen soon sharing the big screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the movie Veere Di Weeding. The movie includes Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles. 

Recently, there were rumours that the actor has got engaged secretly with the actor Ekta Kaul. The actor was reportedly dating Ekta Kaul from the very long time. The rumours even went ahead by saying that the Veere Di Wedding fame will be getting married in September this year. But before the rumours go ahead Sumeet has in his latest statement clarified the rumours.

In his statement, he said that he the rumours and speculation around his engagement to the actress, Ekta Kaul are false. He said that the couple is currently dating and are enjoying this phase of their relationship. As they both are busy with their careers, they would like to spend more time together before taking the next step.
