Supreme Court sent a notice to the central government for scheme for minorities

New Delhi: On the petition filed by the Central Government against the schemes of 4800 crores for the minority communities, the apex court has issued a notice to the Central Government and asked them to respond. Neeraj Shankar Saxena has filed a petition in the country's highest judiciary. It has been said in the petition that these schemes violate sections 14,15 and 27.

The petition further states that the central government does not have the right to spend tax payer's money for a particular community. Actually, the central government has thought of starting 4800 crore schemes for minority communities, which includes skill development, new floor plan. Along with this, the validity of the National Minorities Commission Act has also been chosen in this petition.

Counsel KK Venugopal, appearing for the Central Government, said that the matter should be referred to the Constitutional Bench. The top court has said that the hearing of this case is being done by a bench of three judges and it will be heard in March. If the court finds it, then it will send the case to the constitutional bench. The petition also challenged the legality of the National Commission Minority Act.
