Supreme Court to hear plea on ban of 'Sikh community jokes'

New Delhi: Today, the Supreme court will hear the plea of Advocate Harvinder Choudhary who filed a petition on ban of jokes that are made on Sikhs.He said that it negatively potray the community and also wants a prison of six month to five year for websites who have these joke on their site.

Earlier in July, A bench of chief justice T.S Thakur and Justice D.Y Chandrachud has given six weeks for panel to sumit the guidelines.

After hearing the counsel of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and also other parties the bench passed the order.
