New Delhi: Suresh Raina, who suddenly returned home from UAE, left Chennai in the last IPL, and surprised the cricket fans. There were questions about the future of his IPL. Before IPL 2021, those questions have also got answers. The biggest answer is that Suresh Raina will still be associated with Chennai in IPL. That too with a new and very expensive contract.
Suresh Raina's contract with CSK for IPL 2021 has catapulted him to a club worth Rs 100 crore. That is, he has now joined the club where the Indians already include a big name like Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Virat and Devilliers among the foreign stars. CSK has finalised Suresh Raina for Rs 11 crore for the 14th season of IPL, insideSport reported. Thus, his total earnings from IPL will be more than Rs 100 crore. Raina will be the fourth Indian cricketer after Dhoni, Rohit and Virat to earn so much money from IPL.
Suresh Raina was seen playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before IPL 2021. His team failed to reach the Uttar Pradesh quarter-finals in the tournament. His performance was nothing special. He scored only 1 half-century in 5 matches of the tournament. Obviously, Raina's form didn't look right before IPL 2021. However, let's not forget that he is one of the most successful batsmen in IPL.
