Chief Granthi of Patna Sahib Gurdwara found in injured condition in his own house, admitted

Patna: Rajendra Singh, the main gland of Takht Sriharmandir Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh in Bihar's capital Patna, was found injured under mysterious circumstances at his home. The police officer said he was bleeding profusely when his wife first saw him and he had suffered injuries on his neck. SHO said his family rushed him to a nearby hospital and was taken to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH). He said the police have not launched any investigation so far as no complaint has been lodged by his family in this regard.

The case was received by the Tahrir Chowk police station. Police were told that brother Rajendra Singh was attacked in the neck with a sharp weapon. But the police cannot initiate a formal investigation without receiving a complaint from his family members. So far, no official of the other Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib ji has made any comment.

The Sriharmandir Sahib in Patna is the birthplace of Gobind Singh ji, the 10th and last Guru of the Sikhs. Guru Gobind Singh was born on December 22, 1666 in Patna. It is a historical sight related to the faith of sikhs. The gurudwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh at the place of birth. Guru Gobind Singh's saber, his stand and comb are seated in this popular and historical gurudwara. This gurudwara is also known as Takht Shri Patna Sahib 'Granthi', the holy book of Sikhism, serves as the patron of Guru Granth Sahib.
